IT'S GOING TO TAKE ALL OF US CHIPPING IN
to build a solution for austin
Marketplaces are incredibly expensive to start. Though we have pieces left behind by the previous rideshare companies - it still takes large quantities of drivers and riders to keep it going. Until we get the right volumes on both sides - we need to subsidize the drivers so they stay on the system as well as drive awareness of the app to increase riders. The tech community has already dedicated millions for the app and volunteer hours - but this will take all of us chipping in to make RideAustin successful.
Please note that while RideAustin is officially registered as a non-profit, our IRS filing to become a 501.3c (which makes donations tax deductible) is still pending. We do not expect any issues on the approvals and all donations will be 'retroactively' tax deductible after the IRS gets back to us - but in full disclosure and transparency - your donation is not tax deductible until we get the final paperwork from the IRS. Please contact us if you have any questions.
